Privacy policy
This policy covers the website pplc.cz, the browser tools on it, and the Android apps
published under the name pplc (package names starting with com.pplc.).
The short version: nothing about you is collected, stored, or shared. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. The rest of this page spells that out.
What the app does
Good Wifi Analyzer (com.pplc.wifianalyzer) scans for wifi networks around the phone and
shows their names, channels, signal strength and security, rates the channels, graphs signal over time,
and lets you follow the signal of one access point.
Data the app handles
- wifi scan results
- Network names (SSIDs), access-point hardware addresses (BSSIDs), channels and signal levels of networks within range. They are shown to you and kept in the app's memory only while it is open, so the graphs have a history. They are gone when the app is closed. They are never written to a server, a file you don't see, or anywhere off the phone.
- settings
- Scan interval, graph window, haptics on/off, night/day and accent colour. Stored in the app's private preferences on the phone. Nothing else is stored.
- location
- The app does not read your location. It asks for the location permission (and on Android 13+ the "nearby devices" permission) only because Android hands out wifi scan results solely to apps that hold it, since nearby network names could in principle reveal where a phone is. The app never calls any location API and holds no GPS, cell or network position.
Data the app sends
None. The app does not request the Internet permission, so it is technically unable to send anything anywhere. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party library that would phone home.
Permissions, in full
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE,CHANGE_WIFI_STATE: read scan results and ask the system to scan.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION,ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION,NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES: required by Android to receive scan results, as explained above.VIBRATE: the optional haptic pulse while following a signal.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Deleting your data
Uninstall the app. Its settings go with it; there is nothing anywhere else to delete.
Cookies and tracking
The site sets no cookies and loads no analytics, fonts, scripts or images from third parties. The night/day and accent choice is kept in your browser's local storage, on your side, and is not sent to the server.
Browser-side tools
Tools such as olevba.web, base64pistol, triage.web and floodprint.web run entirely in your browser. Files you drop in and text you type are processed on your machine and are not uploaded.
Tools with a backend or public data sources
A few tools cannot work client-side and say so on their card: scanner.web runs nmap on this host, pisearch.web queries a digit index on this host, and location.web asks public RIPE NCC services and a local GeoLite database about an IP address. What you enter into those tools is sent to that service to do the job, used only for that request, and not kept beyond ordinary server logs.
Server logs
Like any web server, the host keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser string) for operating and securing the site. They are not used to profile anyone, not shared with anyone, and are rotated away after a short time.
If any of this ever changes, this page changes with it and the effective date at the top is updated. Material changes for an app are also noted in that app's store listing.
